
Auditions for the Surry Arts Council’s production of Shrek The Musical JR. directed by Shelby Coleman are being held on Wednesday, July 27 and Thursday, July 28 from 6: 30 p. m. to 8: 30 p. m. at the particular Andy Griffith Playhouse.
Beauty is in the eye of the ogre in Shrek The Musical JR., based on the Oscar-winning DreamWorks Animation film and Broadway musical. It’s a “big bright beautiful world” as everyone’s favorite ogre, Shrek, leads a cast of fairytale misfits on an adventure in order to rescue the princess and find true acceptance. Part romance and part twisted fairy tale; Shrek The particular Musical JUNIOR. is an irreverently fun show with a powerful message for the whole family.
Those auditioning should be prepared to sing a song from Shrek The Musical JR. and learn the short dance number from the show. There are parts for ages 5 to 18.
